Dr. Frank received his MD from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. He completed his pediatric residency at Schneider Children's Hospital in New York, followed by a pediatric endocrinology fellowship at Children's Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Dr. Frank is currently an Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. His clinical research is focused on the role of estrogen in growth and skeletal maturation. He is frequently included in the "Best Doctors in New York" feature of the New York Magazine.
Dr. Frank is as excellent an educator as he is a clinician. His passion for improving medical education was a driving force in the genesis of the Akeso project. As the Endocrinology program director at the North Shore LIJ Steven & Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center, Dr. Frank has helped ensure that every feature of the Akeso program fits the needs of medical faculty and students.
